The Challenge Behind the Catalog
When RetailVantage brought us in, their Amazon catalog had a visibility problem. Across dozens of product listings, keyword targeting was either underdeveloped or entirely missing. Their backend data was inconsistent, making it difficult for the algorithm to index products accurately against real search behavior.
The challenge was not just about finding keywords. It was about doing it at scale, across multiple product categories, while simultaneously ensuring that every data point entered into the system was accurate and compliant with Amazon's listing standards. Both sides of this work had to happen in parallel — and both had to be done right.
Our Approach to Keyword Research and Data Entry
We began with a structured keyword analysis across each product category. For every listing, we identified primary search terms based on volume and relevance, then built out supporting and long-tail keyword sets to capture broader intent. Nothing was applied generically — each product received keyword targeting that reflected how its specific buyers searched.
Once the research phase was complete, we moved into precise data entry. Every keyword and its associated metadata was organized and input into the client's product management system cleanly and without gaps. We cross-referenced all entries against Amazon's current listing guidelines to ensure full compliance. Helion360 approached this as a structured data operation, not a fill-in-the-blanks exercise.
What the Work Delivered
By the end of the engagement, the entire catalog had been equipped with validated, well-structured keyword data. Each product listing carried a clear hierarchy of primary and supporting terms, all entered accurately into the backend without errors.
The client's internal team inherited a clean, organized system they could maintain and scale going forward. The depth and consistency of the keyword coverage gave each listing a real foundation for organic ranking improvement — not a temporary fix, but a sustainable structural upgrade.
The engagement closed with zero rework requests, which reflected both the accuracy of our data entry and the quality of the keyword research behind it. Our Product Catalog Design Services, Keyword Analysis and Data Analysis Services formed the operational backbone of this project from start to finish.
