The Scale of the Problem
Analyzing a wholesale product list at this scale — 150,000 rows, packed with case pricing, multi-unit SKUs, and variable cost structures — is not a task that software alone can reliably complete. The core challenge was that most FBA analysis tools read case pack costs as-is, without adjusting for the actual per-unit economics on Amazon. That gap between what the software sees and what Amazon actually prices individually is where profitable products get buried or incorrectly disqualified.
The client needed more than a filtered spreadsheet. They needed a team that understood FBA wholesale sourcing deeply enough to know when to trust the tool and when to override it.
How We Structured the Analysis
Helion360 approached this in two deliberate stages. The first was a software-assisted pass using Tactical Arbitrage combined with a custom-built spreadsheet pipeline to rapidly eliminate rows that clearly fell outside the 30% ROI and $4 net profit thresholds. This reduced 150,000 rows to a manageable candidate pool without losing accuracy at the broad filtering stage.
The second stage was entirely manual. Our team cross-referenced each candidate product against its individual Amazon ASIN — checking buy box pricing, sales rank trends, competition depth, FBA fee structures, and whether the case pack cost translated correctly to a per-unit margin. This step was non-negotiable. Without it, the final output would have included false positives from misread case pack data and missed genuine winners hidden in complex pricing structures.
What the Deliverable Looked Like
The final output was a clean, structured CSV file containing only products that cleared both the ROI and per-unit profit thresholds under real Amazon selling conditions. Each row included the individual unit cost breakdown, estimated FBA fees, and projected margin — giving the client a list they could act on immediately without any additional filtering.
Several of the strongest products identified would have been completely invisible to a software-only workflow. That outcome validated the hybrid approach Helion360 used from the start.
Working With Helion360
If you're working with large wholesale datasets that require both systematic filtering and expert manual review, Helion360 has the process and the FBA sourcing knowledge to get it done accurately. We take on complex, data-heavy projects and deliver results that are ready to use — not just processed.
